We call our youth ministry “Neon Youth,” because we believe in being “charged” by the personal growth and salvation that only a relationship with Jesus can provide. We also believe in “glowing” and representing Him in our words and actions, so I’m excited to announce that this summer, some of our Senior High students will have an opportunity to do that together. We are planning a mission trip through Fuge Camps to Louisville, Kentucky on June 29-July 3.
On this trip, our teens will be able to serve the community of Louisville with students from other churches across the country through a number of different ways. They will also be participating in worship, small groups, and lessons in chapel services to encourage their own spiritual growth. And, of course, there will be no shortage of food, games, and fun experiences to encourage relationship-building with each other.
This will be our first out-of-state mission trip as a group, so please pray that God will guide us in preparing and planning, and that he will prepare the hearts of the adults and teens who will go. We will have a brief informational meeting for students and their parents in our fellowship room on Sunday, January 27 right after our worship service. I’m looking forward to the journey God has in store for us, and I thank you for your prayers and support.
