Adult ministry at Calvary East seeks to help people learn and grow in a relational context.
In Ephesians 4:15-16, Paul described the process of spiritual growth by saying, “Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” Our adult ministry seeks to encourage this kind of interaction between believers.
The anchor of our adult ministry is our Bible study that meets every Sunday morning at 9 a.m. We spend time praying for one another and discussing the meaning and application of passages of Scripture. Occasionally, the class also splits up into small groups or separate men’s and women’s groups. In addition to our Sunday morning Bible study, we also schedule various social events throughout the year that allow people to get better acquainted.
