Do you know what Released Time Bible Class is?

Released Time – Michigan law requires public schools to release children who have written parental permission to attend religious instruction classes at a nearby location. Children are transported by bus to and from the location. Calvary Bible Church East is the host site for a class for Comstock Elementary School. The classes meet once per month and typically last an hour to an hour and a half.

Bible – Classes are conducted by RBM Ministries, a Christian organization that focuses on teaching foundational truths of the Bible in a nondenominational format. The Bible story is the “heart” of the program. The stories are chosen from the Bible, with concern for the needs and understanding of the children. Paul Spotts teaches the classes for Comstock Elementary.

Class – Every class will provide important age appropriate spiritual and character-building instruction for your child in an enjoyable learning environment. The presentation is true to life and faithful to Scripture. As time allows, songs and quizzes are part of the program. A take-home paper climaxes the thrust of each month’s lesson. Children are also given a Bible verse to memorize and apply to their lives. Classes for the 2022-2023 school year are scheduled for 1:15 p.m. on October 4, November 1, December 6, January 17, February 7, March 7, and April 4.

History – RBM Ministries represents over 80 years of service to school-age children and many churches in your community.
