Current Group Study

You’re a theologian! You may not think of yourself that way, but you have ideas about who God is and how he works. But if we want to be biblical theologians, we need to make sure that our beliefs align with the Scriptures.

Many people use creeds, confessions, or statements of faith to study theology. These summaries can be helpful, but they are often misused. Some treat them as an authoritative guide for interpreting the Bible when it should be the other way around. We must start with Scripture!

I searched for a study guide to help us in this process, but I could not find one. So, I decided to write one myself. I began by making a list of key chapters about God and his character. But since I had far too many for one 8-week study, I limited myself to the books of Moses. I’ve titled it, “In the Beginning: Moses on the Doctrine of God.”

Consider joining us in our fellowship room on Sundays at 9 a.m. in May and June. We’ll pray together and then split up into separate groups for men, women, and teens. We will have copies of our study guide on hand or click below for a PDF copy.
